The vision of Michael Jewell and Daniel Palombo led them to create Due Amici Italian Grill in the late summer of 1999. Due Amici, the Italian translation of "Two Friends", was the perfect name. Early on in their business venture, Mike, or "Chubbs", and his business partner Dan decided to expand into the world of catering. Events at local homes and those of neighboring communities was the logical start. Fast forward twenty-plus years and what was once a passion project has emerged into the areas finest catering company to venues of all shapes and sizes. It was Dan's vision of true hospitality, success and inherent ability to bring the best out of those around him that laid the foundation for what is now a cornerstone in our community and the communities around us. In loving memory, we can only hope that Dan's spirit continues to lead us in the direction he would be proud of.
